Padma first entered the nonprofit sector working in affordable housing, then moved on to support the League of Women Voters of the City of New York in fundraising and capacity-building efforts. Padma gained experience in program design, management, and evaluation as Director of Programs and then Acting Executive Director at the Indo-Caribbean Alliance, an organization that serves the Indo-Caribbean and South Asian populations across the five boroughs through innovative programming and advocacy. Most recently she completed The Queens Fellowship, during which she honed her communication and strategic planning skills to more effectively scale local nonprofits. As the Program & Communications Manager at WCC she is responsible for developing and executing communications goals and supporting the organization’s rich and diverse program initiatives. Padma received a dual B.A. in English Literary Studies & Government from St. Lawrence University. She received a M.S. in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy at The New School.
