Constitutional Convention Forum

The November 2017 ballot for New York State will include a critically important question: Shall there be a convention to revise the New York State Constitution?

  • Do you have enough information to cast an informed ballot?
  • Did you know that such a convention allows for elected officials to propose amendments or even rewrite the entire state constitution?

Come learn how this could affect you and your fellow New Yorkers!

Confirmed panelist include: Donna Lieberman, Executive Director, New York Civil Liberties Union, Deborah J. Glick, New York State Assembly member, District 66; Evan Davis, Senior Counsel, Cleary Gottlieb; Rachel Bloom, Director of Public Policy & Programs, Citizens Union. Jerry Goldfeder, Adjunct Professor, Fordham Law School; Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP will serve as moderator.

This event is co-sponsored by: Student Bar Association, Fordham Federalist Society, Fordham Law Advocates for Voting Rights "FLAVR", If/When/How Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, American Constitutional Society 'ACS', and Fordham Law School.
